Wednesdays Preschool (ages 2-5) 6:30-7:00: Angel Choir, ages 2 & 3, Room 106 7:00-7:40: Angel Choir, ages 4 & 5, Rm 106 Children (grades 1-5) 6:15-7:00: Tone Chimes, grades 3-5, Rm 105 6:30-7:00: Children's Activities (gr. 1-2) 7:00-7:40: Children's Choir (gr 1-5) Sundays 5:30-6:15 Youth Handbells 6:15-7:00 Youth Choir 7:00 Youth Group The Children and Youth Music Ministry at College Park Baptist Church provides many opportunities for children of all ages to be involved in a variety of music-making activities: For children ages two-five, College Park offers Children’s Music with certified Kindermusik teacher Heather Moore. The children explore rhythm and melody through singing, and playing pitched and unpitched instruments. Students in first-fifth grade are invited to sing in the Children’s Choir which rehearses weekly. The choir learns about the love of Jesus and God’s everlasting faithfulness while developing their vocal music skills. This choir sings during the worship service quarterly. Third-fifth graders have the opportunity to ring with the Tone Chimes, a beginning group where students learn how to read and play music. They ring during the worship service several times during the year and practice weekly. The Youth Choir is for students in middle and high school. The music of the choir is usually more advanced. The students are expected to sing in three and four part harmony and are taught sight reading skills that will further their musical knowledge. The Youth Hand Bell Choir pushes its members to achieve high musical standards in rhythm and reading. A great portion of the music is based on traditional music of the church.
