- What is the significance of this vision of the 4 horsemen? Do they ride from heaven to earth, or from one place on earth to another place on earth?
- What did John see when the 5 th and 6 th seals were opened? From where to where does the scene shift?
- What happens in the openings scenes of chapter 7?
- How many of God’s servants are sealed, and how is that number determined?
- Where does the scene in 7.9 take place, and who is present that we have not seen before?
- What images are used in Rev 7.15-17 to describe the bliss of the redeemed in glory? Do they have any special meaning for persecuted believers?
- How does your Christian commitment compare to people such as these? Do you believe that all Christians are called to sacrifice themselves for others?
- What other risks may be involved in a Christian commitment?
- Is it too fanciful to suppose that everything in heaven halts so that the prayers of the saints may be heard?
