Bible study is based on the Smyth & Helwys Formations series, a curriculum that focuses on various biblical themes, people and applications for today. It is a class with fertile ground for discussion and reflection. Most class members are in their thirties and forties, or are parents of younger children.

Bible study is based on the Smyth & Helwys Formations series, a curriculum that focuses on various biblical themes, people and applications for today. The preferred learning style is by lecture and quiet reflection. Most class members are senior adults.

This intergenerational group explores in depth one book of the Bible each year. This year’s study is on the Book of Ecclesiastes. Studies in the past have included The Song of Songs (Song of Solomon).

Youth I (grades 6-8)

Bible Study is based on the Claim the Life Journey series by Abingdon youth. Topics such as Worship, Praying, Forgiving and Courage are studied. The lessons include optional video vignettes for various topics and discussion. Students are encourage to reflect on personal experience and how it relates to Scripture.

Youth II (grades 9-12)

Bible study is based on various topics. The current study is on the book of Job in which the youth are invited to discuss his misfortunes and his faith. This past summer’s study was based on the Joan of Arcadia television series in which various situations and sentiments were encountered.

CLUB JESUS (grades 6-12)

A Sunday night gathering from 7:00 – 8:30 pm including supper at 7pm and activities at 7:30 pm. Included is a small group study based on the Revolution video series in which topics such as anger, depression, families & dating are discussed. Ministry nights include assembling care packages and participating in GUM night (Greensboro Urban Ministry). Finally there are those nights without any seeming agenda and we just play football. J
