For Adults Pathfinders Class Fellowship Hall (lower level), Room 101D Share a commitment to faith, discussion, and laughter. This group studies a variety of topics and issues based on a small group format.  It is a class with fertile ground for discussion and reflection. Ages and viewpoints vary.  Leaders: Cindy Dillon, Janice Kirkman, Lauren Grubbs, Mike Kirkman, Tammy Shaney & others. Faith Seekers Class Fellowship Hall (lower level), Room 101C Bible study is based on the Smyth & Helwys Formations series, a curriculum that focuses on various biblical themes, people and applications for today. It is a class with fertile ground for discussion and reflection. Most class members are in their thirties and forties, or are parents of younger children. Leaders:  Mark Fleming & Hayden Ireland Adult III Class Chapel (main floor) Bible study is based on the Smyth & Helwys Formations series, a curriculum that focuses on various biblical themes, people and applications for today. The preferred learning style is by lecture and quiet reflection. Most class members are senior adults. Leaders: Dan Cottrell & others. Tuesday Night Bible Study Church parlor (main floor) 6pm-7pm, September-May This intergenerational group explores in depth one book of the Bible each year. This year’s study is on the Book of Ecclesiastes.  Studies in the past have included The Song of Songs (Song of Solomon). Leader: Michael Usey For Youth Youth I (grades 6-8) Room 107 (lower level) Bible Study is based on the Claim the Life Journey series by Abingdon youth. Topics such as Worship, Praying, Forgiving and Courage are studied.  The lessons include optional video vignettes for various topics and discussion.  Students are encourage to reflect on personal experience and how it relates to Scripture. Leaders:  Lin Bunce, Jeremy Fox, Amber Thomas Youth II (grades 9-12) Conference Room (lower level) Bible study is based on various topics.  The current study is on the book of Job in which the youth are invited to discuss his misfortunes and his faith.  This past summer’s study was based on the Joan of Arcadia television series in which various situations and sentiments were encountered.  Leader:  Frank Kendall CLUB JESUS (grades 6-12) Youth Room (lower level) A Sunday night gathering from 7:00 – 8:30 pm including supper at 7pm and activities at 7:30 pm.  Included is a small group study based on the Revolution video series in which topics such as anger, depression, families & dating are discussed.  Ministry nights include assembling care packages and participating in GUM night (Greensboro Urban Ministry).  Finally there are those nights without any seeming agenda and we just play football.  J Leader: Rachel Luck Youth Sponsors: Lin Bunce, Jeremy Fox, Katy Thomas, Adam Team & Sue Ellen Team For Children Nursery (birth-24 months) Room 201 (main floor) Caregivers:  Jay Yarboro & others Toddlers (2-3 years) Room 104 (lower level) Lessons include a brief object lesson or story based on God’s love.  Then lots of play time! Leaders: Lynn Sasser & Kristin Kirkman-Hall   Children I (grades 1-2) Room 303 (third floor) Bible study is based on Cokesbury’s Exploring Faith series for middle elementary aged children.  Each lesson includes a reading of scripture and an activity based on the topic/story/character at hand.
